JEFF PETERSEN
ARTWORK
IN THE ARTIST'S WORDS

I find a voice in art that allows expression and a healthy escape from daily life. While it does provide challenges with every brush stroke, it is a safe place to experiment and explore. Painting provides a rhythm to a daily routine that requires stability and focus.
My professional daily life is made of imagining and designing environments for clients. Challenging and exciting.  However, my paintings aren't confined to clients wishes, engineering, deadlines and budget.  This freedom can be revealing and intimidating, yet brings a thrill that I enjoy.

ABOUT JEFF

Jeff Petersen is a watercolor artist from the Northwest. Trained as an Industrial Designer, he blends inspiration of Japanese art, commercial illustration and classic watercolor styles. Inspired by local scenes of daily life, he gives a fresh look at things we take for granted. Finding beauty in industrial and gritty street scene is one of Jeff's favorite challenges. Art is a common language that Jeff and his wife Alexandra have that bring creativity to the Petersen household.
