What do you think of this . . .
Wisdom has its ways
of coming through
just as we
have our means
for receiving helpful news
when it appears.
We decide what we hear
and what we do.
Whenever doors or windows
opened wide
it was our call
which knock or tap
we responded to,
what crawled or sauntered in,
what buzzed or barked
or flew into our room.
We may have been
delighted, dazed, confused
we may in our replies
have sounded sure and wise
or curious or concerned
or just distracted
by the fuss or fog we often
feel inside our heads,
when what we need
to learn is something
at least one of us
likely already knows,
and the others
should pay attention to,
when the answer
to this question:
Are these messages
and this seeking
and this finding
and this trying
just to sort it out . . .
Is all of that—of this--
just who we are,
just all of us
being us,
as we planned
as we meant to do . . .
is in fact a ringing singing
“Yes, yes, yes!”
